CLEMSON, South Carolina — The No. 1 Clemson Tigers return home Monday to face UNC Asheville at Historic Riggs Field. The match will be broadcast on ACCNX with kick-off scheduled for 6 p.m.

The Tigers come into the game as the top-ranked team in the nation and look to build on their 3-0-0 start. Most recently, Clemson picked up a 1-0 road win over South Carolina to extend their winning streak against the state rival to nine games.

Clemson is 7-1 against UNC Asheville and is perfect against the Bulldogs at home. The Tigers hold a 42-5 lead in eight games all-time.

Tigers standout Ousmane Sylla scored Clemson’s tying and game-winning goals in their win over Indiana and assisted Tim Ströbeck’s goal against USC Upstate, as well as Alvaro Gomez’s game-winning goal against South Carolina on Friday. In doing so, he earned several Player of the Week honors, including ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week and CollegeSoccerNews.com National Player of the Week. He has at least one point in each of the Tigers’ three games and leads the team with six.

UNC Asheville comes into the game 1-2-0 and is looking to bounce back from a 3-2 loss Friday night to East Tennessee State.
