BOSTON (CBS) – Jake Bailey is one of the best bettors in the NFL. But even he couldn’t do much against the strong winds that Mother Nature threw on the Patriots and Bills during their Monday Night Football clash in Buffalo.

Bailey is known for his booming kicks, but with the strong winds sweeping through him in the first quarter, the Pro Bowler’s big leg couldn’t do much on his second punt of the match.

After New England’s second three-and-outs, Bailey sent a high kick into the wintry night at Orchard Park. The wind sent him back, as the ball went out of bounds at the New England 40 after just 15 yards.

Yes, it’s windy in Buffalo, with winds blowing at 25-35 MPH – and over 55 MPH. Bailey’s 15-yard punt was New England’s shortest since a 13-yard Chris Hansen punt in 2007.
