Jessie J has revealed that she and her boyfriend Max Pham have separated after seven months together.

Chatting with fans online, the singer insisted that “nothing dramatic” had caused the breakup, and said the two sides “were happy” over their decision to go their separate ways.

In her candid post, the music star called her ex-dancer an “amazing man” and admitted that they had been “just friends” for some time.

Max was Jessie’s first public relationship since her split from Magic star Mike Channing Tatum last year.

Drawing inspiration from her Instagram stories on Sunday, the 33-year-old singer updated fans about her love life in a question-and-answer session with her followers.

When asked about the state of her relationship, Jessie replied, “Open, happy and loving myself.”

She went on to write, “Max and I have just been friends for a while now. Nothing dramatic has happened. So please don’t overreact.”

“He’s an amazing man. We both have a lot of respect and love for each other. It just wasn’t very romantic. So we decided it was just friends. .

The only reason I mention this is because it gets weird and a little difficult when people live in your past. “

The star added that she hates the way other people make a “big deal” about breakups and concluded by telling her followers that she and Max are both “happy, alive and loving” their lives.

Jessie is believed to have started dating choreographer Max earlier this year, shortly after her split from Hollywood hunk Channing.

Elsewhere during her candid Instagram chat, Jessie revealed that her best advice for body confidence is to stand “in front of the mirror naked and look at your goddess” and love how you look right now.

The star also advises her fans not to “waste time” wishing for something that might never change and reminded her fans that we only have one life and one body.

News of Jessie’s split comes as the singer prepares to release new music.

Earlier this month, the former Voice UK coach apparently hinted that his new album may center on heartache and her separation from ex-boyfriend Channing.

Jessie and the 41-year-old actor were first romantically linked in October 2018, when the couple were spotted together in Seattle.

It was reported that the two stars went their separate ways in November 2019, reuniting briefly in January of the following year.

The couple decided to quit for good in April 2020 and both have moved on with new partners since.

Speaking on Capital FM on October 13, Jessie hinted that her upcoming fifth studio album would explore topics of heartbreak.

The singer-songwriter has announced that his new album, which has no name yet, will debut with a personal song about the grief of a breakup.

“The first song is about being in a relationship and someone ignoring it,” she told radio listeners earlier this month.

“You know, when you go through a breakup and someone says, ‘OK, bye.’ “

“One of my favorite songs is just about going ahead and jumping in the deep end,” she added.
