National Museum of Military Vehicles Wins Best Attraction Award
DUBOIS, Wyo. – The National Museum of Military Vehicles won a 2022 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award for being among the top 10% of attractions in the world. The award recognizes businesses that have received excellent reviews from travelers around the world on Tripadvisor over the past 12 months.
Guests consistently comment that the museum is spectacular and family-friendly, and that the tributes to American veterans are humbling. “It was an excellent experience. The museum is huge and beautifully designed. There is so much to see. I think it rivals many great museums across the country. Everyone enjoyed it: from our 9-year-old daughter to my 75-year-old parents,” said a Tripadvisor reviewer.
The Military History Museum, which opened in southeast Dubois, Wyoming in August 2020, celebrated its grand opening last May. Inside the 140,000 square foot museum, visitors will find nearly 500 fully restored military vehicles, artillery pieces, warships and aircraft dating from 1897 to the present day.

“We were pleased that our guests shared their experiences on Tripadvisor where the museum is rated 5 stars,” said museum founder Dan Starks. “We are committed to honoring the service and sacrifice of veterans and their families as well as active duty men and women. We tell their stories in three major galleries through immersive exhibits currently focusing on WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.
“Congratulations to the Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice 2022 winners,” said Kanika Soni, Chief Commercial Officer of Tripadvisor. “The Travelers’ Choice Awards recognize the best in tourism and hospitality, according to who matters most: your guests. Ranking among the Travelers’ Choice winners is always tough, but never more so than this year as we emerge from the pandemic. Whether it’s using new technology, implementing security measures, or hiring exceptional staff, I’m impressed with the steps you’ve taken to meet new traveler demands. You have adapted brilliantly in the face of adversity.
