The Scotch Malt Whiskey Society’s “spiritual home” can be found at The Vaults in Giles Street, Leith. Members and their guests can enjoy this sumptuous 12th century setting and its “magnificent” selection of single cask whiskey and spirits.

With a name inspired by a poem by Rabbie Burns, the Usquabae Whiskey Bar and Larder is a cavernous tavern in the basement of Hope Street. Placed in silver in the Scottish Whiskey Bar of the Year 2019 award, it boasts over 400 whiskeys, as well as âexceptional staffâ and a tasty menu.

The Scotch Malt Whiskey Society location at 28 Queen Street, New Town serves “distinguished flavors” of whiskey and food in a Georgian townhouse setting. Each of its bars offers 500 exclusive single malts, and non-members can visit the Kaleidoscope bar, renovated in 2020 – although reservation is advised.

Located in the vibrant Shore area of ââLeith, Teuchters Landing’s famous whiskey selection and waterfront setting make it an extremely popular spot for locals. It also has an interesting background, the Dock Place Free House is the former Leith Ferry waiting room at Aberdeen Steamboat.
